A portrait of Mara Luiza 

Owner of an impressive pastel technique, Mara Luiza has produced a fine collection of artworks rich in details and with vibrant colors. 

Born and raised in Sao Paulo, Brazil, Mara Luiza Nascimento started drawing and painting at a very young age. 

Mara has lived  in Ontario  since 1990.  She  has produced several works and commissioned in Canada, Europe, Brazil and the United States. 

Mara Luiza also works with oil painting and sculpting, but dry pastel is her favorite medium. Her works often capture the strength and simplistic elegance of people on their everyday life in varying cultures.  She is continually experimenting with other forms of art, and is still producing new works.
